>"THANK YOU FOR CUTTING THE ROPE" is the fourth album from KAMI. It sees a move back towards hip hop, but with a heavier focus on dusty boom bap beats. The album includes a wide range of samples, often heavily edited to create a more disorienting, but catchy sound. I was influenced primarily by Earl Sweatshirts "Some Rap Songs" and Teen Suicide's "dc snuff film/waste yrself" when making these songs. The album is loosely conceptual.
